Andrew is an experienced litigator and business advisor who represents companies of all sizes, with a broad practice including business counseling, transactions, and complex commercial litigation at the trial and appellate levels in the state and federal courts of Massachusetts and New York.
Andrew’s client base ranges from Fortune 500 companies, to top-10 banks, start-ups, religious institutions, to individuals. Andrew litigates cases with a wide range of subject matters that have issues involving breach of contract, breaches of fiduciary duties, government agency enforcement, cryptocurrency and blockchain technology, securities markets, trade secret misappropriation and restrictive covenant enforcement, construction, real estate, negligence, common-law torts such as tortious interference with business relations and conversion, and more.
Andrew also regularly advises businesses and represents them in transactions of various sizes with issues including franchise systems, employment law, employment restrictive covenants, trade secret protections, accessing capital, negotiating contracts with other businesses and individuals, and information technology security.
Before founding Stark | Lattuca, Andrew practiced at an international law firm where he managed litigation in first and second chair capacities for clients in highly regulated industries including franchise and distribution, securities, product liability, patent, trade secret and non-compete, antitrust, and consumer financial law. Andrew also represented international clients in the US and domestic clients abroad, requiring him to navigate foreign litigation procedures and privacy laws, including the European Union's General Data Protection Regulation.
Andrew’s considerable litigation experience allows him to provide sound counsel to clients’ business and human resource departments to identify and manage legal risks and comply with state and federal law, avoiding litigation pitfalls, and therefore saving his clients significant time and legal fees.
Before practicing at his prior firm, Andrew served as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Gustavo A. Gelpí in the US District Court for the District of Puerto Rico. Before clerking in the US District Court, Andrew clerked for the Honorable Andrew J. McDonald in the Connecticut Supreme Court. These experiences gave him unparalleled exposure to the inner workings of the judicial systems, and practice distilling complex legal matters into judicial opinions at the state supreme court and federal trial court levels.
Andrew completed his undergraduate education at the University of Vermont. Andrew graduated from Suffolk University Law School summa cum laude where he was a member of the Suffolk University Law Review.
Andrew also served as a Visiting Assistant Professor of Legal Practice Skills at his alma mater, Suffolk University Law School, for three years.
Andrew is licensed to practice in the state courts of Massachusetts and New York and the federal courts in the District of Massachusetts, Eastern District of New York, Southern District of New York, and Western District of New York.
